How To Get Your Multi Level Marketing Business Set Up Properly.

On average each week I have between 200-300 Multi Level Marketing Reps who request help with their business.

Imagine this for a second... that's like saying that every morning when I wake up and go outside to walk my 2 dogs each morning... that's like having 50+ people EVERY DAY who are standing outside my door waiting to talk to me...

The reason this happens is because I understand the basics of marketing, I've been able to create systems that do this for me in ALL of my businesses.

The primary reason for me telling you that is so you understand I know how to help you get started in your business and I'm going to give you the key points that every Multi Level Marketing member must understand in order to set up a stable business and guarantee you start seeing results right away.

Before you do ANYTHING to move your Multi Level Marketing business forward, you first need to be set up with the right tools in order to run your home business successfully.

I'm going to recommend ONLY what I personally use on a daily basis and that includes 7 Key items:

1- A High Quality Wireless Telephone: I personally recommend the Uniden CLX502. The batteries last a LONG time and you have some cool ring tones along with caller id and voicemail. Pretty simple, yet this is my favorite phone out there. This is after testing 4 or 5 different telephones over the years while growing my businesses from home. You can pick one up on Ebay with 2 bases (very important) for about $50-60 delivered to your door.

2- A Headset for your telephone. I recommend the Plantronics M175 hands down! You can pick one of these up on Ebay for about $20 (normal retail is about $65).

3- An unlimited calling plan. I personally have checked out and reviewed a TON of calling plans and different phone services in general (home phone vs. VOIP for example) and I find Vonage to be the best service as you get a wide range of calling plans and I can call anywhere in the world with unlimited minutes for around $39 per month. That's a STEAL in my opinion, considering just a couple years ago you would have had to pay an arm and a leg to call Canada or even New York for that matter. Things have really changed in this regard and Vonage has been flawless for me over the last 3 years.

4- The right lead source. This is one of THE most important topics of growing a business and because of that I've written an article on this same website that covers the basics of leads and what you need to know to find the best targeted Multi Level Marketing lead on the planet for the cheapest price.

5- The right prospecting/closing script. I'm not talking about the type of script that goes something like this:

"I see here that you had requested information on a home based business?"

That is NOT what I'm talking about... in fact if your script has any of that wording in it... I can flat out tell you that you will FAIL in your business. Pretty powerful statement I know... but trust me.

Scripting is an ART and a SCIENCE. Leading with the business opportunity in the first part of a marketing sequence will ruin your chances of success in your business. What you need to learn is the art of crafting the correct message based on #4 (the right target market/lead source). This is something that requires a LOT more than what I can cover here in this short article, but if you subscribe to my newsletter you can gain key insights into how to develop the correct script.

6- The right presentation. This is a topic that can get really confusing. First off most people are taught to use a multitude of different strategies to "promote" their Multi Level Marketing business opportunity. For example you might be taught to use a Multi Level Marketing sizzle call, home meetings, hotel meetings, passing out Multi Level Marketing branded promotional materials (CD's, DVD's, brochures, websites, business cards etc).

These items are NOT the most ideal ways to present the Multi Level Marketing opportunity and I'll explain briefly why that is. The most powerful concept in business is a term called "Positioning". The way this works is you need to first put yourself in the mind of your prospect and realize that when people are looking to "buy" something, they are ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS looking for expertise and leadership.

99.9% of people in Multi Level Marketing are taught to just go out there and act as "employees" by passing out Multi Level Marketing branded materials, INSTEAD of being shown how to think and act like a business owner. So the right way to grow a massive Multi Level Marketing business would be to first view yourself as a "travel expert/consultant" or a “nutrition expert” for example, and that you have access to special rates, or product secrets vs. putting the company first allowing them to take on the "position" of being the expert in your prospects mind.

Remember that you growing a massive business will always come down to how you are perceived by your prospect and by you understanding how to craft the right presentation that positions YOU as the expert and your company as the fulfiller of the service on the backside allows you to get the focus and attention, thereby more people will buy because they are always seeking that expertise and leadership which you absolutely should NOT give away to some other person (your upline for example or the guy doing the meeting at the front of the room) or the company. 7- The ability to track your business. You must have some way to statistically track your progress in your business. I never had a fun way of doing this and tried every time management software I could get my hands on, but they were either to bulky, to confusing, or just down right boring to use... so my wife and I hired some web developers and we had our own tracking software built which I'd like to provide you access to free of charge (normally we sell this tool for $97 online). That about sums up the basics components of what I use to grow my business on a daily basis. Pretty simple, but I can assure you these are truly the ONLY tools necessary to grow a wildly successful business with Multi Level Marketing or any other type of home based business.

I know because just using these tools I generated over $250,000 in a 12 month time period with just these tools alone... NOT using any type of advanced marketing, and NOT using the internet or any other type of copy writing. This was strictly using the 7 tools above which are VERY cheap (all of the above combined won't cost you more than $100 per month) and I know that you can all afford it... in fact you can't afford NOT to do start off your business in this way or you will see people falling out the back of your business faster than you can put them in the front end. This basic model will allow you to get into profit cheaply and quickly… the key ingredients for sustaining a legitimate business.

Take the time to set up your business the right way from the start and you will find yourself developing into the leader that others want to follow.

Extra Credit: If you want to go the extra mile and get some extra credit... I highly recommend you make it a personal commitment to give back 1-5% of ALL your earnings and donate them to a charitable cause each month. I personally donate to a number of different organizations, one of which is Kiva. Kiva is an incredible organization that does micro lending in developing nations, but whatever you choose to support, this is one of the most fundamental principles of building a business that I personally subscribe. Take the time and make a personal commitment to do this every month. It not only feels good, and puts you in a mindset of abundance in that you have something to give, but you can support some really amazing organizations that really need our help.
